As experts in Canadian literature and Canadian Studies, we are always happy to provide consulting services to libraries to help them choose books that will best suit their needs. We guarantee prompt, effective, and courteous service to libraries of any size and location.

Terms for libraries

• 1-3 books -- no discount
• 4 books or more -- discount of 20% on all titles (some exceptions apply)
• Pre-payment required on first order
• Payment in Canadian (VISA, cheques, and money orders) and US Dollars (cheques and money orders) accepted

Sales to Canadian libraries

While our website focuses solely on Canadian fiction, poetry, drama and literary criticism, we will gladly bring in any book available in Canada. Our business is in great Canadian books and we are eager to do everything we can to support Canada’s libraries.

Sales to libraries outside of Canada
The staff of Northwest Passages are experts in helping libraries located outside of Canada access Canadian titles they might otherwise be unable to obtain from their regular sources. We can also help you to pick which Canadian books might be ideally suited for your needs. Since our launch in 1996, we have consulted with libraries around the world and have designed entire Canadian Studies collections for libraries with no previous Canadian holdings.

We can also help to supply you regularly with the most important Canadian books of the year or with books that will add to special areas of focus your library might have. We have the expertise to provide you with all the service and information necessary to get the books you need.

Course orders

Since its launch in 1996, Northwest Passages has helped professors and universities from over 20 countries obtain books for courses on Canadian literature and Canadian Studies. When certain titles are unavailable in a given country, we will sell those books directly to the institution, bookstore, or professor in question at a discount (some exceptions apply).
